The disease is caused by the parasites of Toxoplasma calves in the small intestine of
calves.
Serious harm to calves after 2 weeks of birth, the symptoms are digestive disorders, loss of appetite, diarrhea, and large amounts of mucus or blood in the stool. The worms often cause intestinal obstruction or perforation, causing death.
Combined with epidemic characteristics and symptoms, the disease is suspected. The diagnosis requires the detection of eggs in the stool.
①Trichlorfon, 40-50 mg/kg body weight, once orally
② Albendazole, 10-20 mg per kilogram of body weight, once lying down
③Ivermectin, 0.2 mg/kg body weight, once subcutaneously injected.
Preventive deworming of calves is an important measure to prevent this disease, especially for calves aged 15-30 days, because the infection reaches the peak at this time, and there are many calves with worms without symptoms, but The eggs they shed can pollute the environment and cause cow infections.
