A small self-propagating and self-raising commercial pig farm with a basic scale of 100 sows and an annual output of 2,000 fat pigs.
Production cycle
From breeding to market = 41 weeks (16 weeks of pregnancy + 4 weeks of lactation + 5 weeks of nursery + 16 weeks of fattening).
Pig farm composition
① Pregnancy positioning column: 100 sows, 9 litters every 2 weeks, 66 pregnant sows from breeding to one week before farrowing, 66 positioning columns are required.
②Empty sow pens: farrowing rate 80%, weaning to breeding 1.5 weeks / 80% × 4.4 pigs / week + 1 (reserve) = 9 pigs, each 3 pigs needs 3 pens.
③ Breeding boar pens: 4 pens and a breeding room are required for single-pen breeding.
④Birth pen: 4.4 × 6 weeks = 27.
⑤ Nursery beds: 6 weeks × 4.4 = 27.
⑥ Fattening pens: 16 weeks/2×9-10=720-800 heads, that is, 72-80 pens.
There are 3 units in the delivery room, each with 9 beds; 3 units in the nursery, with 9 beds in each unit; the boars are raised in a single pen, 4 heads and 4 pens, 1.
