In veterinary clinical work, castration and injection of vaccines can cause allergic reactions, especially in well-bred piglets and thin and weak piglets. Symptoms 5-10 minutes after the injection of the vaccine, the piglets experience vomiting, foaming at the mouth, chills, convulsions, difficulty walking, wheezing, rapid breathing, frequent excretion of feces, cyanosis (more obvious in white pigs), and body temperature generally at 40-41.5 ℃. first aid method
(1) Intramuscular injection of 2-3 ml of epinephrine injection, repeated injection with the same dose after 6-8 hours in severe cases.
(2) When the body temperature is particularly high, intramuscular injection of 4-6 ml of Analgin and 4-6 mg of dexamethasone can be used.
(3) When the body temperature is normal, intramuscular injection of vitamin C 1.5-2 grams and dexamethasone 4-6 mg can slowly return to normal.
The doses of the above three first aid methods are only suitable for piglets weighing 10-15 kg.
