The magic weapon for pigs to gain fat quickly

2020-12-29

Tea has a long history in China, and the tea culture is even more profound! As early as 4700 years ago, our ancestors discovered the tea plant and began to grow and use it. Thousands of years have passed. The industrious and intelligent Chinese not only invented a complete tea-making technology, but also cultivated many new and famous teas, which enabled the tea industry to develop well in my country and spread overseas.

Today, tea has become a necessity in people's lives together with Caimi, oil, salt, sauce and vinegar, and a cup of tea after meals has become a habit of many people. When visiting relatives and friends, if you give away some precious tea, you will not only feel that you have face, but the people you receive will also be very happy and feel highly valued and respected.

With the vigorous development of the tea industry, the output of tea has gradually increased. In the process of tea picking and processing, a large amount of tea residue and tea powder will be produced. In the past, tea farmers basically discarded or burned these things directly, and rarely used them again. This not only causes pollution to the environment, but also a waste of resources.

It’s said that “garbage is a misplaced resource.” The garbage in the eyes of tea farmers, such as tea dregs and tea powder, is a magic weapon in the hands of pig farmers. After a lot of experiments and research, it has been proved that adding a little tea dregs to the feed can not only be pigs Fast fattening can also improve the quality of pork. Below, I will give you a detailed introduction to the benefits and methods of raising pigs with tea residue, as well as some problems that arise.

The earliest pig farmers in Kagoshima, Japan, who started using tea to raise pigs, directly added a certain amount of raw tea to the feed for feeding. During the breeding process, it was found that pigs gain weight faster than pigs that did not use tea. After slaughtering, it was found that the lean meat rate and taste of pork were better.

After discovering these advantages, many pig farmers in Kagoshima started raising pigs with tea. Economically savvy people also registered a trademark for tea-raised pork-Chamei Dolphin, which is sold in major cities such as Tokyo and Osaka as a high-end, green, and healthy brand. Once it is listed, it has been loved by consumers. . At present, Kagoshima's "Tea Beauty Pork" that raises pigs with tea has been mass-produced, and pig farmers in other parts of Japan have also begun to follow suit. Raising pigs with tea has become a popular trend in Japan.

1. Save feed and improve feed utilization

Compared with corn, wheat bran, soybean cake and other feeds commonly used in pig raising, the price of tea residue is cheaper. Adding a certain amount of tea residue to the feed can save the amount of feed. Moreover, the tea residue contains effective ingredients such as protein, tea polyphenols, tea polysaccharides, vitamins, cellulose, etc. It also contains a variety of essential and semi-essential amino acids required for animal growth, especially glutamic acid and leucine. The nutrition is more comprehensive, which can greatly improve the utilization rate of feed.

2. Enhance disease resistance and reduce the use of antibiotics

For pigs raised with tea dregs, the tea polyphenols and polysaccharides in the tea dregs can increase the content of lactic acid bacteria in the gastrointestinal tract of pigs, inhibit the growth and reproduction of harmful bacteria, enhance the disease resistance of pigs, and reduce the use of antibiotics. For example, the catechins in tea polyphenols can effectively inhibit swine gastrointestinal diseases such as typhoid fever, paratyphoid fever and dysentery.

In addition, studies have shown that adding 1% to 2% of tea powder in the feed not only has a certain auxiliary effect on the prevention and treatment of white muscle disease and anemia in pigs, but also can lower blood lipids and prevent atherosclerosis and coronary artery disease. Heart disease and so on.

3. Shorten the fattening period and improve economic benefits

The nutrient content in tea dregs is relatively rich, mainly containing crude protein, crude fiber, tea polyphenols, tea polysaccharides, caffeine and some mineral elements. Studies have shown that the content and composition of protein and amino acids in tea dregs are better than corn and wheat bran, comparable to soybean cakes and fish meal, and it is a very good feed.

Feeding pigs with tea dregs can increase their feed intake and exercise, speed up blood circulation, accelerate the excretion of waste in the body, effectively promote the increase of pig muscles and speed up growth, shorten the fattening cycle, and improve economic benefits.

4. Improve pork quality and increase lean meat rate

In addition to freshness, the main factors affecting the quality of pork are taste, tenderness and smell, especially a unique fishy smell of pork. And what determines the taste and smell of pork is the content of 5 xanthoside phosphate and glutamic acid in pork. Pigs raised with tea residues can not only reduce the content of five xanthosin phosphates in pork, increase the content of vitamin C, but also enhance the water capacity of pork and reduce the exudation of water in pork, thereby reducing the smell of pork and making The meat has a stronger aroma.

Many times, people like to drink a cup of tea to relieve the greasiness after eating more greasy things. This is because the tea polyphenols in tea can inhibit the synthesis and differentiation of fat cells, and have the effect of lowering blood sugar and blood lipids. Feeding pigs with tea residue for a long time can reduce the cholesterol content in pork and increase the lean meat rate of pigs.

Second, the method of feeding pigs with tea dregs

1. Add directly

Direct addition is to add the remaining tea dregs, tea powder, etc. directly to the feed in a certain proportion for feeding. The advantage is that it is easy to operate and save money; the disadvantage is that the crude protein in the tea residue is mostly water-insoluble protein, which is not easy for pigs to digest and absorb directly. In addition, old tea stalks and rough tea dregs will affect the palatability of the feed.

2. Add after extracting active ingredients

To raise pigs with tea dregs, the most effective ingredients are tea polyphenols, tea polysaccharides and proteins. These active ingredients can be extracted from the tea dregs through some biochemical methods, and then added to the feed in a certain proportion. .

At present, the methods for extracting tea polyphenols include solvent extraction, ion precipitation extraction, adsorption resin, etc.; methods for extracting tea polysaccharides include ethanol extraction, water extraction, and enzymatic extraction; methods for extracting protein include alkali-soluble acid precipitation. , Enzymatic extraction, etc. No matter what active ingredients are extracted, the extraction process is relatively complicated and the cost is high, making it difficult to quantify production.

3. Add after microbial solid fermentation

The protein in the tea residue cannot be directly digested and absorbed by pigs. It can be decomposed into easily absorbed amino acids through microbial fermentation to avoid the waste of protein in the tea residue. At present, Trichoderma can be used to ferment tea residue and tea powder, and the crude protein content of the fermented tea residue can reach more than 23%, which is a very high-quality feed.

Three, there are still problems in feeding pigs with tea dregs

my country's tea resources are very rich, and the pig industry is developing rapidly. The use of tea to raise pigs has many benefits, but it has not been fully promoted. Why? Mainly because there are still some problems that have not been resolved.

1. The amount of tea dregs added cannot be determined

my country has a vast territory, and there are many types of pigs and feeds. The amount of tea dregs used as feed additives cannot be generalized, and needs to be determined according to actual conditions. Too much addition will affect the feeding of pigs and reduce their growth rate; too little addition may have no effect. Therefore, for pigs in different regions, different breeds, and different breeding conditions, the range of tea residue addition remains to be studied.

2. Tea polyphenols may have negative effects

Although it has been mentioned that tea polyphenols have many benefits, if they are added in an inappropriate amount, they may affect the absorption of trace elements by pigs. At the same time, it is not known whether long-term use will have a bad effect on the growth of pigs, such as genetic inheritance and sow reproduction.

3. The storage problem of tea dregs

The tea polyphenols in the tea dregs have anti-oxidant effects and have special requirements during storage. If stored in the air for too long, it may weaken the antioxidant function. At the same time, the tea dregs are rich in nutrients and contain a certain amount of water. If stored improperly, they may deteriorate and produce toxic and harmful substances.

my country is the birthplace of tea, and it is also a big country of tea production. A large amount of tea dregs and tea powder are produced every year, which are directly thrown away or burned and buried, which not only wastes resources but also pollutes the environment. Using tea dregs as a feed additive can not only reuse resources, but also speed up pig fattening and improve pork quality. It is a very green and healthy pig raising method. I hope it can be improved and promoted in the future.
